Presented as part of a side event launching Amnesty International's Corporate Crimes Handbook. Facilitated a panel discussion featuring civil society practitioners involved in landmark prosecutions, including:

  • The prosecution of Lundin executives in Sweden for complicity in war crimes in South Sudan
  • The prosecution of Lafarge in France for complicity in crimes against humanity in Syria

The session provided an opportunity for practitioners to share lessons learned and discuss strategies for overcoming challenges in corporate accountability cases.

Amnesty International Corporate Crimes Retreat

Role: Organizer and Presenter

Organized Amnesty International's annual closed-door workshop comprising dozens of legal practitioners from civil society and law enforcement. The retreat focused on "Overcoming challenges in holding corporate actors accountable for environmental and climate crimes."

Facilitated case workshops and panel discussions, and presented legal analysis on a confidential case that could set a precedent as the first prosecution of a corporate actor for its responsibility for widespread and systematic pollution as a crime against humanity. The workshop provided a platform for practitioners to collaborate on complex legal and practical challenges.
